Mantra Nelson Bay FAQ
Upon check-in, a room account is created for you. Extra services during your stay can be conveniently added to your room account. Guests departing early are requested to settle their accounts on the previous evening. Accounts can be settled by EFTPOS, MasterCard, Visa or American Express – credit card surcharges apply.
“+61 is Australia’s International Country Code. Australia National Area Codes are as follows; 02 for New South Wales & Australian Capital Territory, 03 for Victoria & Tasmania, 07 for Queensland, and 08 for Western Australia, South Australia and Northern Territory.”
When dialling +61 numbers, the 0 must be dropped from the area code as with the 0 for mobile numbers.
When dialling international numbers from Australia, 0011 must be entered before the foreign country code and subsequent numbers.
Baby Travel Cot & High Chair hire can be arranged through Reception at an additional cost.
These are welcome in the privacy of your apartment and Resort BBQ areas but not in the pool area.
Check in time is from 2.00pm guaranteed 3.00pm. Check out time is strictly 10.00am.
Please note that early check-in and late check-out requests cannot be guaranteed and are subject to availability. In the absence of availability, guests may store luggage at Reception and use the Resort facilities for the day.
All guests have the right to a peaceful and enjoyable stay. Any guests found disrupting other guests at the resort, engaging in acts of vandalism, property damage, dangerous, antisocial, unruly and/or illegal behaviour, or any guests disregarding instructions and repeated requests from Security and/or Management will be removed from Mantra Nelson Bay.
In Australia the number for all Emergency Services is 000.
Mantra Nelson Bay has a STRICT ‘No Pets’ policy.
Open from 7am to 9pm daily. Our pool is for the exclusive use of Mantra Nelson Bay in-house guests and residents only. Please note that the pool is solar heated all year round,the spa is kept toasty-warm by an electric heater. Please abide by all pool rules as signposted. All children must remain under direct supervision of a responsible adult at all times. There is to be no glass in the pool area.
Spare blankets are on the top shelf of the wardrobe. If you require any additional blankets please contact Reception and they will be provided to you. Pool towels are available for hire at Reception.
We accept all major credit cards: American Express, MasterCard, Visa, as well as having Eftpos capabilities. Personal cheques cannot be accepted. Credit Card surcharges apply.
Australia uses 240 Volts AC for all electrical appliances.
A full first aid kit is available at the Reception desk.
The basement fob-key is located on the unit key ring. A wall switch is also located within the garage that operates the door.
All apartments are equipped with full laundry & kitchen facilities.
Please report any concerns and/or disturbances to Reception during business hours. Outside business hours our Manager is available to assist you.
In case of a true emergency requiring Police, Fire or Ambulances, always dial 000
There is no restaurant on site- please feel welcome to ask Reception for local favourites.
The Housekeeping Department retains lost property for a period of 14 days. All care is taken with items left behind, although no responsibility can be assumed. Should you need to trace lost items please contact Reception. It is the responsibility of the guest to send a reply paid postage bag for lost property to be returned.

NO refund will be given for shortened length of stay. The guest will be liable for all costs associated with repair or replacement of any items or objects damaged by the guest within the apartment and the wider resort. Adults are responsible for their children and their actions at all times.
Reception opens from 8.00am – 6.00pm each day (Public Holidays and off peak periods may differ). Please call our main line on 4916 4777. After hours assistance available by selecting extension 8 for emergencies.
Mantra Nelson Bay respects your rights to privacy. All information collected is necessary for operational purposes. Your information will not be provided to any third party for marketing purposes.

The Port Stephens Visitor Information Centre-located at the Marina-also offers a complete range of information to help you to make the most out of your stay in our beautiful region.
The fitness room is located in Building Please collect the key from Reception during office hours. You will also find outdoor fitness stations at intervals along the footpaths lining the Bay. A workout with a view! Ask our team for more information.
We offer fully self-contained, self-catering accommodation. Daily servicing is not provided. On arrival we provide a starter pack in your apartment along with bed linen, bath towels, bathmat and a tea towel. Once the start pack supplies are depleted it is the responsibility of the guest to replenish. All other personal items should be brought with you. A complimentary service including linen change is provided once during any stays of 7 or more nights.
If you encounter any faulty equipment during your stay we would appreciate you advising Reception. This would allow us to rectify the problem promptly thereby avoiding disappointing other guests. If for some reason you are dissatisfied about equipment or services in the apartment please do not hesitate to inform us. This feedback allows us to constantly improve our services.
Wireless Internet is available throughout the Resort. This service is provided unlimited & complimentary. Login and Password details are provided on arrival.
We kindly request that guests consider others and refrain from downloading large entertainment files using the complimentary service, as this may impact other inhouse guest access. Thank you in advance for your cooperation & understanding.
In the unlikely event of evacuation, all guests are to assemble at the front of the property to await further instructions.
All of Mantra Nelson Bay apartments are individually owned. Please take care to avoid stains on furniture and bedding. Guests are responsible for costs relating to damage and breakages.
Please be aware that guests will be charged for any furniture and/or bedding specialist cleaning, should any stains be unable to be removed via normal housekeeping methods. Please note that if damage occurs within the apartment, affecting the apartment to be satisfactorily prepared and available for any new scheduled arrivals. Additional nights of accommodation may also be charged to the guest until the issue can be resolved.
Irons and Ironing Boards are available in each apartment.
Routine maintenance checks are carried out to ensure each apartment is in working order for your arrival. Please inform Reception as soon as possible should any maintenance issues arise during your stay. Any urgent or critical situations that arise in their absence will be addressed by Reception or After Hours Management in the interim.
Mantra Nelson Bay is a non-smoking property. Smoking is not permitted on common grounds or in apartments including individual apartment balconies & courtyards.
